The separator has a rectangular magnet surrounded by a motor driven belt with scratch board. The separator is to be mounted transversely to the flow of the conveyor.

During the process the magnetic force will pick up the ferrous metal and then a rotating belt will remove any steel, tossing it over the side of the conveyor.

It is suitable for separating ferrous materials from granular, powdered or various shaped low-water content materials, such as coal, foundry sand, cement, sawdust, rocks, slag, etc.

Air-cooling, oil-cooling and water-cooling models are available. To process materials with less steel, a beltless, manual cleaning separator is also available.
