Normally mounted above the conveyor, the drum separator magnet can remove the ferrous metal from the material flow. Solid materials flowing on the conveyor such as recycle scrap, rocks, slag, foundry sand, coal and mining materials are all applicable.

The rotating cylinder of the separator is integrally formed of ware resistance manganese or stainless steel. Internal components are well protected by the extremely firm external casing.

Around the cylinder there are isometric scratch boards. The drum is driven by the motor at the side and continuously rotates. The powerful magnet inside provides a fixed angle magnetic field.

The ferrous materials, picked up by the magnet, will stay attached to the cylinder until they are rotated away from the magnet force field. Once they are cleared from the field, they will also be cleared from the drum due to centrifugal force and gravity.
